We follow Arizona Standard Time (MST). During Daylight Savings time, which is March 8th - November 1st) you will experience a time change as you travel through the Navajo reservation. Electronic devices usually account for this time change during your travel to the location.
Temperatures during the summer can reach up to 100+ degrees. Heat exhaustion is a common risk for hikers during the summer. Please take note of this and dress appropriately, and stay hydrated.
The morning from 7:15 AM -10:45 AM or after 1:45 PM is normally the best time to view the canyon.
Unfortunately, you are not able to view the canyon on your own. All tours require pre-booking with a tour guide, who will be present with their guests at all times.
Each time slot has a maximum capacity of 70 guests, which is split into smaller groups per guide. Each group is limited to 10 people or less.
All tours are about an hour to an hour and a half long. You are required to arrive 45 minutes before their departure time. You will be denied entry if you are late for your assigned tour.
All ladders are equipped with safety handrails and bolted into the canyon walls. Your safety is always our number one concern during a tour. Please advise your guide if you are feeling uncomfortable in any way.
No, the Lower Antelope Canyon is located on the Navajo Nation Reservation which is separate from the National Parks Service.
Unfortunately, bags of any kind (including transparent bags), are not allowed.
You can absolutely bring a backpack-carrier, or a wrap/sling. We ask that children 2 years old and younger are placed in a hiking backpack. Strollers are not allowed into the canyon for safety reasons.
We do not allow pets on this tour. This includes service animals and therapeutic animals as well.
Any changes, cancellations, and no-shows within 72 hours are non-refundable. Anybody late is considered a no-show, and can reschedule for a $30 per person fee, but will not be refunded. If the tour is canceled due to extreme weather, we will offer a full refund.
